WASHINGTON, DC- (September 16, 2016) The National Black Growers Council (NBGC) has announced the dates for its to be named 2016 annual conference. The scheduled dates are December 12-14, 2016, at the Gold Strike Hotel & Resort located in in Tunica, MS. Hotel registration for the event can be made by dialing 1 (888) 245-7829. The NBGC strives to provide leadership and diversity in American Agriculture through its mission to improve the efficiency, productivity and sustainability of the Black row crop producer. The Council has developed programs such as the NBGC Model Farm Series and the newly created NBGC Ag Apprenticeship Program to assist in these efforts. Through collaboration with its sustaining members, historically black colleges and universities, USDA, key industry stakeholders and Agri-business the NBGC has been effective in the promotion of agriculture as a viable career option to the youth while simultaneously preserving black-owned farms.
